Cereales Pilar S.A. and Sustainability
The process at our manufacturing plant begins with the receipt of rigorously selected raw materials in their natural state. Corn and other ingredients are transformed using our state-of-the-art equipment and by adhering to the strictest manufacturing, hygiene, and safety standards, thus producing ready-to-eat foods destined for the most sophisticated supermarket shelves worldwide.
For Cereales Pilar S.A., its Corporate Social Responsibility Policy is a manifestation of the company’s commitment to the environment and society.
These actions and strategies are aimed at fostering a work environment based on respect within the company, with our clients, and with the environment.
This Policy must be respected by contractors, independent professionals, consultants, etc. It is the responsibility of Cereales Pilar S.A. employees to ensure that these external parties and/or contracted professionals are aware of the implications and scope of this document.
All employees and collaborators of Cereales Pilar SA are responsible for applying this CSR Policy in the performance of their duties; the HR Manager and the Company Management are responsible for overseeing its implementation.
This Policy is transversal to the different areas of the company, as it influences its image, competitiveness, certification opportunities, community engagement, ethical principles, and human rights. Working towards a sustainable company is everyone’s task and responsibility.
The analysis of processes, costs, and management practices helps us understand risks and opportunities related to economic and/or financial issues, which are also key to guaranteeing the company’s sustainability in the short and long term.
Compliance with this Policy is mandatory, and its objective is to ensure that the actions of everyone at Cereales Pilar SA are oriented towards and committed to sustainability.
Commitment to Employees
Our employees are the foundation of the company; Professional ethics and respect in interpersonal relationships are important for our company’s success and fundamental to its growth and development. Some key principles in the relationship that Cereales Pilar S.A. proposes for its employees are based on integrity, responsibility, and respect.
At Cereales Pilar S.A., we work to offer decent, dignified, safe, and stable working conditions, prioritizing the physical, emotional, and economic well-being of each employee. We promote continuous training and personal and professional development within the organization.
We respect labor rights in accordance with Argentine law; we promote an inclusive work environment free from discrimination, harassment, or violence. Employees are key recipients of our sustainability reports, in which we share, among other actions, our support for various social sector organizations close to the company.
Cereales Pilar S.A. is a company that does not tolerate child labor, discrimination, harassment (in any form), or abuse of power. Respect for human rights and individual freedoms is fundamental to achieving the work environment the company desires.
All our employees perform their tasks in compliance with the health and safety conditions stipulated by current regulations; the company does not engage in forced labor. Each of our employees has the freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining.
Our Internal Regulations Manual defines and communicates disciplinary measures and work schedules, and each employee receives compensation in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Commitment to the Local Community
We are committed to the local community by creating dignified jobs where people can develop professionally. Given equal opportunities, the company prioritizes local residents for hiring as employees and/or suppliers. We also seek to build networks by signing agreements with educational institutions so that professionals can complete internships at our company.
We facilitate food donations to soup kitchens, children’s homes, and other public service organizations in need. We also conduct school supply drives at the beginning of the year and collect clothing and warm items during the winter to address seasonal needs.
Commitment to the country
We choose raw materials and suppliers of critical inputs of national origin, working with Argentine producers whenever possible.
We contribute to the growth of the national food industry with quality products that promote healthy and accessible food.
We reject practices that threaten Argentina’s economic, cultural, or food sovereignty.
Commitment to the Environment
We implement sustainable production practices, minimizing the use of non-renewable resources and reducing our environmental impact.
We manage our industrial waste responsibly, promoting recycling and reuse (metals, cardboard, plastics, etc.).
We recognize our responsibility to society and the environment. We adopt sustainable and ethical practices in all our operations, always striving to contribute to the well-being of the community and the conservation of the environment.

We act with integrity in all our commercial, institutional, and social relationships; we also maintain open and respectful channels of dialogue with our stakeholders. We reject any form of corruption, bribery, or practice contrary to the principles of honesty and responsibility. This commitment is reflected in both the selection of suppliers and in our relationships with external and internal clients. Paying special attention to aspects that prevent child labor and issues related to mistreatment and spam abuse.
Monitoring and Continuous Improvement
This policy will be reviewed every 12 months by Management together with the Human Resources Manager. An Annual CSR Report will be prepared, including results and new goals based on social, labor, and environmental indicators. We promote an organizational culture where the continuous improvement of our CSR practices is part of our daily routine.
Commitment
Cereales Pilar SA assumes the responsibility of communicating and informing its collaborators and partners about this CSR Policy and will annually prepare an impact report to communicate (internally and externally) the actions taken and document the work and involvement in this area.
